Markus as an organisation

Markus Hermetic Doors BV is the market leader in the hospital sector in the Netherlands when hermetic operating room doors are involved. Traditional, reliable and with high-quality products, Markus has already been active in the market for more than 100 years.

Markus is a medium-sized Dutch company that has offices in Krimpen a/d IJssel (near Rotterdam). Markus develops all its own products and many of its products are patented.

Markus started its operations in the chiller and freezer sector. The chiller and freezer technology were the drivers of the company at that time. Markus has moved its focus to the care sector during the past 20 years. The company focuses on all special doors for hospitals. Doors that need to be based on a hermetic principle because radiation is released, hygiene plays a large role or pressure differences are important.

One of the last developments has been that Markus also produces semi-hermetic and even non-hermetic doors. It is fairly easy for the company to anticipate market requirements because Markus has its own R&D department it can proactively work with new and changing customer requirements.

Markus has always found that export has been important. The company, therefore, has a group of agents and representatives who are active in different European and Asiatic countries. Markus also searches for partnerships with other organisations to join forces.
