Fields of application

Acoustic doors can have numerous applications. For example :

  • MRI scan rooms
  • Treatment rooms that require more privacy than usual
  • Operating Rooms for bone surgery
  • Operating Rooms, related to neurology
  • Rooms that are immediately adjacent to corridors and halls
  • Reception rooms where speakers will have to use microphones
  • Classrooms and lecture rooms that are accessible to large groups but that are adjacent to other rooms that must be used simultaneously
  • Silent rooms, prayer rooms and morgues where sound reduction must be regarded from two sides

Acoustic doors are applied in the following areas outside the care sector: schools where the doors are used as part of the wall for sometimes the same reasons as for theatres. Classes can be linked up and music lessons will not disrupt the work taking place in adjacent rooms. Day care centres for a play room and to mitigate action sound and for sleeping rooms for the smallest children.

Cinemas and music centres often benefit from having sound separated from the outside world. Sound reduction must comply with statutory requirements.

Theatres and concert halls often have very specific preferences and requirements: mandatory internal structure, modular products, automation, extremely long technical life and products that fit within the existing building. Markus can provide it all.
